Details
The classic over-the-sign storefront light. A tall gooseneck arm sweeps up off the wall and curves back down to a broad, shallow downlight shade — the fixture that throws a pool of light across a shop's signboard and transom after dark. It's the detail that reads instantly as "main-street business district," and it earns its place on barber shops, pharmacies, diners, and any brick storefront with a sign worth lighting.
The arm is a true gooseneck: a single sweeping S-curve rather than a stiff right-angle bracket, so it looks hand-bent from conduit the way the real ones were. The shade is a wide, gently domed reflector that sits proud of the wall and casts its light downward and slightly backward toward the building. A short mounting tenon on the back of the arm plugs into a drilled hole in your structure wall, so the lamp sits flush and square against a visible bracket plate.
Because the neck is modeled hollow, this isn't just a static casting. The bore runs the length of the arm from the shade down through the mounting tenon, so fine magnet wire can be threaded through and the leads brought out behind the wall — which is exactly how the warm-white and cool-white LED versions are built. Order it bare to light your own way, or let us wire a micro-LED through the neck so the fixture arrives ready to connect over your sign.
Mounted in a row the way a real storefront runs them — two or three across a wide signboard — they turn a flat brick facade into a destination. Rust-weathered or freshly painted, they carry the same message: this block is open for business.
Each lit lamp ships with an SMT 0402 white LED already threaded through the hollow arm, with two fine magnet-wire leads exiting the mounting tenon. We leave the resistor off on purpose: you add a series resistor sized for your own supply, so these drop into a 5 V Arduino rail, a 12 V bus, or anything in between.
Size it from the supply voltage: R = (supply - 3.0 V) / 0.008 for a realistic ~8 mA glow — roughly 240-270 ohm at 5 V, ~1.2k ohm at 12 V, or ~1.6-1.8k ohm at 16 V (a 1/4 W resistor is plenty). One resistor per LED, in series. Observe polarity — reverse the leads if it doesn't light, and always run it through a resistor.

- Mounting: Short tenon on arm back — drill the wall, plug, glue flush
- Neck: Hollow bore full length (shade to tenon) for wiring
- Print process: SLA resin (fine detail on thin arm)
- LED: SMT 0402 white, pre-wired through the hollow neck, leads exit the mounting tenon
- LED color temperature: Cool white
- LED forward voltage: ~3.0 V (white 0402)
- Series resistor: Not included — buyer sizes for their supply. R = (Vsupply - 3.0) / 0.008 for ~8 mA
- Example resistors: ~240-270 ohm at 5 V, ~1.2k ohm at 12 V, ~1.6-1.8k ohm at 16 V (1/4 W fine)
